“I like Lauren’s art more than I like my own children.”

Plarchie created for the Natural History Museum from knitted plastic bags

I do all kinds of commission work. I’ve made crafty street art for some rather fabulous folks in the past.

In my commission work I take your ideas, entangle them with my own, and finish them off with a Whodunnknit crafty twist. Each handmade, fibre or craft-based art installation is totally unique and installed by me (and my team if needed) on site.

I can create anything at all, from fabricated computer-game worlds, to chat shows guests, to 200 years of history, to Brian Blessed’s beard, and beyond.

Lovely stuff people have said:

“Lauren O’Farrell is the most inspirational, creative, unusual, witty, dedicated, remarkable and brilliant artist I have ever had the privilege of working with.  She has created a work of astonishingly personal and life-affirming art out of some wool, my family’s history, her imagination and a few pipe cleaners. I do not understand how this is possible, but she has done it.”

“I like Lauren’s art more than I like my own children.

“Brilliant work!”

(Helpful note: Limited edition original Whodunnknits are artworks designed and made by hand by me. I do this for a living and the pieces are priced accordingly. If you are looking for knitted toys you can wander over to my patterns page and ask a lovely knitter you know to conjure you one. There are loads of crazy creatures.)
