BBC Craftivism coming to your tellybox

Can craft help change the world? Meet the crafters turning handmade art into action. Craftivism: Making a Difference is on BBC4 Feb 1st at 10pm.

Last summer I made some monster-flavoured sneaky street art in Crystal Palace Park with the ace Jenny Eclair, who also met up with some of the UK’s craftiest world changers for a brand new BBC documentary.

The project launched for the BBC show is called Mollified Monsters. More on that soon, but follow the #mollifiedmonsters tag for more on @deadlyknitshade Insta and Twitter.

Fellow craftivists include: Sarah Corbett of the Craftivist Collective, Helen Baker’s We are All Smear Ready featuring tiny pants, Katy Styles from We Care Campaign with their handmade sticking plasters.

Watch Craftivism: Making a Difference on BBC4 Feb 1st at 10pm.

(If you miss it it’s on again on Feb 4th and you can catch it on iPlayer for a whole 12 months after that. Whoop!)
