AGH! Christmas is thundering towards us like a reindeer who has had waaaaay too many tree chocolates. You can either run for the hills screaming, pay yourself on the back for starting your Christmas knitting long ago, or panic and plan to knit something super-quick before the big day.
Lucky for you folks the wondrous crafty crowd over at All About You asked me to conjure something quick and Christmassy for you to hang from you tree. And so…
Ho ho handmade! A Squishy Santa Christmas Decoration is just the right size to hang from your tree and welcome in the festive season with a wave of your woolly needles. Squishy Santa will take no time at all to make, and best of all Santa is made by knitting from the top down on circular needles so there is no sewing up at all. Woo hoo!
Don’t let Santa have too much sherry. He needs to be alert to deliver all those toys.
If you’re a little worried about double-pointed needles you can try using a circular needle with the magic loop technique. It’s really easy to learn. There’s a nice little magic loop tutorial here.
